I am able to delete from the Device Manager list, all the incorrect additional monitors (all the Generic Non-PnP Monitors).īut when I go back to Display Settings, they are unchanged. In Device Manager, the additional monitors are listed as "Generic Non-PnP Monitors". My only choices are listed in predefined pairs, such as "Duplicate on 1 and 2", "Duplicate on 2 and 3", "Duplicate on 3 and 4", "Duplicate Select only one of the monitors listed individually, such as Monitor 1, or 2. I cannot seem to adjust anything with the setting utilities, or remove the unnecessary "ghost monitors" in Display Settings, and therefore cannot effectively manage where I need to port the display image. I currently have only a dual monitor configuration, running on a Fujitsu Q775 Tablet, using an Intel Graphics HDĥ500 adapter. My second monitor is connected through the tablet's docking station. Since applying Windows Insider Build 14986, too many monitors (settings reports 6 of them) appear in both Display Settings and Device Manager.
